Les Paul strings question?

I just got an Epiphone Les Paul Standard, and like all guitars I get I
switched the strings immediately. The store I went to didn't have the
strings I normally get (D'Addrio Blues Jazz Rock, 11-49) so I got
some D'Addario Jazz Extra Light strings (10-49) and now my G-String
doesn't bend right. It's really hard to bend and never reaches the
right pitch, is this due to the difference in string gauge or is it
just that the strings aren't broken in yet? The gauge on the G-String
set I normally get is .28 and the gauge on the new set is .30
